Os indicados à edição 2020 do Primetime Emmy, a maior premiação da televisão norte-americana, foram anunciados hoje. A cerimônia segue marcada para 20 de setembro, apesar de preocupações com a pandemia do novo coronavírus.
Entre as surpresas da lista, destaque para Zendaya, que conseguiu cavar uma vaga na categoria de melhor atriz em série dramática por sua performance em “Euphoria”, da HBO.
A favorita teen da HBO não foi uma das mais contempladas pelo Emmy, no entanto: séries como “Succession”, “Ozark”, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Schitt’s Creek” e “Watchmen” apareceram bem mais na lista. Outra surpresa: “Star Wars” entrou na briga por melhor série dramática com a sua primeira produção em live-action, “The Mandalorian”. Seria o poder do Baby Yoda?

- “Watchmen”, sucesso da HBO baseado na HQ, é a produção mais indicada do ano, com 26 indicações, em categorias de minissérie;
- “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” foi a mais lembrada entre as séries de comédia, com 20 indicações. “Schitt’s Creek” teve 15;
- Entre as séries dramáticas, “Ozark” e “Succession” empataram com 18 indicações cada;
- A Netflix liderou as indicações, com 160. A HBO teve 107 indicações;
- Nas redes sociais, além de ‘Watchmen”, fãs comemoraram as indicações de Zendaya (“Euphoria”), “Stranger Things” e Regina King (“Watchmen”). Fãs criticaram a ausência de Viola Davis e Elizabeth Moss;
- Destaque de 2019, a comédia “Barry” não entrou na disputa. “Westworld”, Al Pacino, Nicole Kidman e Reese Witherspoon eram cotados, mas também ficaram de fora.
